Delete your account

How to ask

1. Email info@musikboxen.app from the address linked to your Musikboxen account, with the subject “Delete my account”. If you signed in with Apple and chose to hide your email, tell us in the message and we will help you confirm it is your account.
2. We confirm by reply, then delete the data within 30 days.

Deleting the account does not cancel anything with Google, Apple or Spotify. Those are separate accounts.

What is deleted

• Your account profile, including your email address and app settings.
• Your cards and your listening history from the box.
• Your box registrations. The box stops reporting plays until it is paired with an account again.
• Your notification subscriptions.
• Bug reports you sent, with their screenshots.
• Diagnostic log lines tied to your user ID.

What may remain

• The anonymous count of how many users wrote a given song to a card. It holds no information about you.
• Backups, until they are overwritten within [backup period to be decided].
• Anything we are legally required to keep.

Your physical cards

The cards themselves only hold a link to a song, and deleting your account does not change what is written on them.
